YES. Anyone who makes a report believing that the child is in need of care and protection does not commit an offence and is protected by the law.

“No action shall lie in respect of any person who makes a report to the Registry in good faith pursuant to this section”, CCPA (2004) Section 6 (6).

The report which is made to the Registry or other relevant authorities is secret and confidential, and shall not be disclosed to anyone not authorized by law to receive it.
